Young Reader Reaction: This book is awesome! I loved this book because it talked about just being yourself and showing you you can do it! I wanted to read it again, and picked it up later, even after I read it. It really tells me that I can do anything.
Adult Reader Reaction: Penelope (the narrator) makes it easy for readers to connect with her. Although I would have thought of this for my daughter when she is a little older so she can read it herself and use as a "handbook," I can also see potential for sharing with her as she heads into first grade this fall.
Pros: This is a powerful book that girls will relate to. It helps them understand that they can do whatever they put their minds to. This book convinces girls that they can do most anything.
Borrow or Buy: Buy. I loved this book and would buy it for my sister because she would learn a lot about her special talent.
