Summary: This story starts by introducing readers to a fire truck and then the truck is off to fight a fire. This picture book has a poetry-like approach to talking about a firetruck and what he does.

Interest Level: 1 to 6

Young Reader Reaction: My son liked the truck and all the noise sounds. He asked us to read this one again. My son loved it and I was not surprised at all. He loves firetrucks and the action involved.
Adult Reader Reaction: This book had a little too much going on on each page for me. So much so that I found it distracting from the story. I didn't like how the fire truck kept focusing on how good looking he was.
Pros: Cute pictures and a high-interest theme will have toddlers and preschoolers asking for this book!
Cons: The pages may be a little too busy for some readers.
Borrow or Buy: Borrow. Certain kids will love it and the other books in the series
Educational Themes: The story is pretty self contained. Have fun making the different noises. Use this as a precursor to visiting a fire station.
