Young Reader Reaction: Toddler enjoyed counting the objects, and the familiar items (cats, dogs, balls, fish, teddy bears and so on) made the book an instant hit.
Adult Reader Reaction: This is a great book for introducing the language to a young child and will be useful as the child grows older to teach additional basic language, in English and French. The illustrations are eye-catching and cute.
Pros: This is a simple, small book, easy for toddler to handle, and simple language to introduce the new language.
Cons: The numbers on the wheel are not in order. While this may have been intentional so the child can't just roll to the next number, it takes time to spin the wheel and find the correct number.
Borrow or Buy: Borrow. This is a good book to have if you can find it.
