Young Reader Reaction: S/He LOVES seeing the various animals and is very proud to be able to identify the action depicted.

Adult Reader Reaction: Excellent photos, simplicity of text and familiarity of the animals. By age 5, though, this would be a "baby book."

Pros: The format/presentation allows for growth: you can stop calling it a "bird" and teach that it's a "cockatoo" instead.

Cons: One or two of the verbs are hard to depict in one static picture.

Borrow or Buy: Buy. A favorite read.
