Adult Reader Reaction: The pictures and flaps are fun. It is a short story, even for a toddler book, but that’s helpful. Flaps are strong and can keep attention better than books without.

Pros: This is a simple story that is soothing for bedtime. The flaps encourage interaction.

Cons: By 2 years old, the child may outgrow this.

Borrow or Buy: Buy! It’s a still a classic. The strong flaps last longer than other pop up books.
