Pros: What a unique and enjoyable way to learn history. The book is packed with information but so are most textbooks, but textbooks rarely engage more than the reader’s eyes and brain. By choosing to use a flap book design along with excellent illustrations, the author and illustrator engage the reader’s eyes, hands, imagination, curiosity and funny-bone.
Borrow or Buy: This is certainly a buy for the history bookshelf in the classroom or school library. If one is looking for an educational and enjoyable present for a pre-teen history buff, this book will more than fill the bill.
