Meet Lauri Fortino
For Lauri, a love of reading and writing is genetic! Growing up, Lauri had a writer in the house. Her grandmother, a self-taught poet, lived with her family.
Her grandmother encouraged her to write, and Lauri has taken that encouragement and run with it. The Peddler's Bed is Lauri's first published book, but she has been writing reviews, interviews, and offering teacher resources at Frog on a (B)log.
Lucky for Lauri, there is no shortage of children's books to read! [And you'll discover some of her favorite authors and illustrators in our interview!]
Lauri has a degree in Library and Information Services, and works at her local public library. Lauri, her husband Chris, and dog Java live in Syracuse, New York.
