Author Showcase

For Robyn, reading, writing, and children's literature come all in a day's work. An avid reader even as a young girl, she found writing to be a natural extension of her passion to discover the world through books. As a teacher, she extends that opportunity to her students every day.

Working with fourth and fifth graders has offered her great insight into the things they like to read ... and the best ways to capture their interests. Although her first book was a fictional novel (with eager fans waiting for a sequel), Robyn is currently focused on her non-fiction picture book series about the Ancient City.

While living in Windsor, England, for three years, Robyn joined an eclectic group of writers. It was there that she began to take an active interest in children's literature.

Robyn is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and a former board member of the Florida Writers Association. She has been a judge for several national contests and reviews children's books for School Library Journal.

Robyn earned her bachelor's degree at Capital University, Columbus, Ohio; and has a masters in Gifted Education from the University of Connecticut. She lives in the St. Augustine, Florida area, and teaches full time at the Bolles School, Ponte Vedra campus.
