Fairy tales are timeless. They are the stories we loved to hear as children, and we love to tell as parents and grandparents. Mosetta Penick Phillips-Cermak has used her own magic to create a modern fairy tale series that parents and children can share for generations.

Writing has always been part of her life, and Mosetta began writing short-stories at age ten. As a young girl, she won first prize in a creative writing contest sponsored by a local newspaper. In college, her literary essays and short stories were published in the school's literary magazine, the Spectrum. Eventually, she rose to serve as the Spectrum's editor-in-chief.

Growing up, Dr. Penick Phillips-Cermak wanted to be a veterinarian. She ultimately became a teacher, psychotherapist/counselor, published author, and magazine editor. Over the years, she has taught everything from kindergarten through teacher education, English, psychology, and sociology.

In addition to her picture books, Dr. Penick Phillips-Cermak has published an eBook for authors called Promoting Your Book for $3.00 a Day. She is currently working on a middle-grade children’s fantasy novel and a young adult novel. The Magic of Laven-Rock, the second title in her fairy tale series, will be released in August 2008.

Dr. Penick Phillips-Cermak has a life that is two-rich. She lives in retirement with her two Labrador Retrievers and two Siamese cats in West Park, Ohio. She is the mother of two, grandmother of two, and great grandmother of two.
