Summary: Each page spread has pictures of vehicles or objects that move. They are grouped in themes, such as water, construction, in the park, etc. Each vehicle is named and about 10 to 15 of them are on a page spread. This is a board book for object identification.

Little Kid Reaction: My son loved this book! My child is a boy and he was particularly interested in all the vehicles. He was very excited to identify the vehicles he recognized. I was surprised he liked it, because it isn't a story, just a collection of images. He interacted with the book a lot.
Big Kid Reaction: I liked this book. The pictures are cute, fun, and well done. They are models made of clay and very clearly rendered. I also liked that some of the vehicles were familiar (car, boat, bike) but some were "novel" (space shuttle, ferry, hovercraft).
Pros: Kids will enjoy this book that is perfect for toddlers learning first words and object identification. There are clear, stimulating pictures of familiar objects and new ones, too. The sturdy construction is important, as young toddlers will want to read it over and over on their own.

Borrow or Buy: Buy! Kids will love this book, especially boys ages 18 months to 3 years. I would buy this because it is stimulating and very interesting. It will get lots of use.
Educational Themes: The book offers new vocabulary for young toddlers, and reinforces vocabulary for kids who know some of the vehicles. You could also learn "themes," that is ways to group vehicles based on being simlar or their movement.
