Summary: As the third adventure begins, Becca, and her family and friends, are packing their bags for an extended vacation in the “Mist”. They intend to celebate Christmas at their homes after which they will indulge themselves in all of the fun and adventure awaiting them in the “Mist”. But alas, their expectations were being at risk. Their were rumors that Richard Grant had escaped from prison to take over the portal. Paul and Amy, banished forever from the “Mist”, have escaped and are gathering diamonds, gems, and priceless paintings to sell outside the “Mist”. What is happening? How did the plans get compromised? What chance does Becca and her friends have to catch the culprits? The good guys have to act quickly, for sure! This is fhe third title in this fantasy adventure series.

Big Kid Reaction: The author’s ability to capture the excitement, exuberance, frenetic behavior and attention span of adolescent girls is maintained with this third book. As a result, the characters are authentic, believable, and fun to know. Still, the book shows just how difficult it is to sustain the drama and originality of a series.
Pros: Lots of action and a feverish pace will keep teens turning the page to find out what happens next.
Cons: The author's efforts to sustain the adventure get bogged down with too many characters, and too many sub-plots. Editing would have reduced some of the adventures, shortened tedious description and eliminated some of the dialect.
Borrow or Buy: Borrow. This story is a fun read for adolescent girls. It could be a great birthday gift, stocking stuffer, or vacation read for adventure lovers. It is one of those books that will be read several times and shared with one’s friends.
Educational Themes: The educational value of this book is that it is a fun read. If one is looking for a book that will be enjoyable and exciting, particularly for adolescent girls, this is a great choice.
