Young Reader Reaction: "Can we read that again?" Our preschooler saw Ashley in herself (visually) and liked talking to Ruby Lee.

Adult Reader Reaction: This is a beautifully told story. It's nice to find books that transcend generations and have a positive message. The illustrations capture the emotions and expressions as though they are a picture. The glossary and lesson page are nice touches, too.

Pros: The story is great, the illustrations are beautiful, and it will withstand LOTS of repeated readings without becoming boring. It talks about faith without preaching.

Cons: NONE.

Borrow or Buy: Buy! This is a must-have book for your child's personal library (especially GIRLS), as it will grow with them and could be a companion even when they are beyond the target audience age.
